Bulgaria squad for the upcoming games against Montenegro and England announced
The Bulgaria national team head coach Krasimir Balakov announced a 24-player squad for the upcoming European qualifiers against Montenegro (October 11) and England (October 14). Here are all the call-ups:
Goalkeepers: Nikolay Mihaylov (Levski), Plamen Iliev (Ludogorets), Hristo Ivanov (Etar);
Defenders: Strahil Popov (Kasimpasa), Vasil Bozhikov (Slovan Bratislava), Georgi Pashov (Ararat-Armenia), Kamen Hadzhiev (Akademia Puskas), Kristian Dimitrov (Botev Plovdiv), Anton Nedyalkov (Ludogorets), Ivan Goranov (Levski), Petar Zanev (CSKA-Sofia);
Midfielders: Ivelin Popov (Rostov), Kiril Despodov (Sturm Graz), Georgi Kostadinov (Arsenal Tula), Simeon Slavchev (Qarabag), Georgi Sarmov (Chemnitzer), Bozhidar Kraev (Gil Vicente), Kristiyan Malinov (CSKA-Sofia), Marcelinho (Ludogorets), Wanderson (Ludogorets), Galin Ivanov (Slavia), Vasil Panayotov (Cherno more), Ismail Isa (Cherno more), Bircent Karagaren (Lokomotiv Plovdiv).
The start of the training camp is Sunday, October 6th, and head coach Balakov will hold his regular press conference at 11:30 AM. At 18:00 h on October 8th three members of the squad will talk to the media and the team will leave for Montenegro at 11:45 on October 10th. The official pre-match press conference will start at 19:00 local time and the official training will be at 19:30 (the first 15 minutes will be open to the media).
The official press conference before the game against England will begin at 17:00 on October 13th at the "Boyana" National Football Center and the official training will commence 30 minutes later. The England manager Mr. Gareth Southgate will hold his press conference at 19:15 at the "Vasil Levski" National Stadium.
